Jamu juice - an anti-inflammatory health tonic

Ingredients  

  • cup (0,8 dl)fresh turmeric roots, chopped
  • cup (0,8 dl) fresh ginger roots, chopped
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • 3 cups (6,75 dl) of water

Instructions

  • Clean turmeric and ginger and remove any loose skin or blemishes. No need to peel. Chop or slice.
  • Put it in a high-speed blender with the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
  • Strain through a fine sieve or a nut milk bag (it´ll stain), and pour into a glass jar or a bottle. Dilute with more water if desired. Refrigerate.
  • Serve as is or with ice.
