Jamu or jamu juice is a recipe from Bali, and it’s an anti-inflammatory health tonic made from fresh turmeric root, ginger root, lemon juice, and originally honey (to make this juice vegan, use agave syrup instead).
It´s simple to make and perfect for the flu season to boost immunity, as this juice contains anti-inflammatory roots ginger and turmeric.
Jamu simply means medicine in Balinese, and there is many different spin on the recipe. There is different jamu for different ailments, made of plants, herbs, and nuts.
