  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium size onion, chopped
  • 2 medium size carrots, chopped
  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • 1,3 lb (600 g) green peas
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • hot, boiled water
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  1. Heat the oil in a large pot. Add chopped onion and carrots and sauté over medium heat until the onions are soft and transparent.
  2. Add green peas, vegetable stock cube, and hot, boiled water, just so much to cover green peas.
  3. When the peas are cooked thru, but not overcooked, add one teaspoon smoked paprika and stir.
  4. Add one tablespoon flour and stir. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Pour more hot water to reach desired consistency and simmer for few minutes.
  6. Serve with bread.
